Why not unwind as the steam trains of theWest Somerset Railway take you on a leisurely 20 mile journey between Bishops Lydeard (near Taunton) and Minehead, taking in the sights, sounds and even the unique smells of the golden age of rail travel. As your train makes its way along, the glorious Somerset countryside offers constantly changing views through the windows. The intimacy of the Quantock Hills country, Exmoor in the distance and views from the Exmoor coast across the sea to SouthWales all feature at different times. Ten stations, lovingly restored and maintained by volunteers offer a whole range of things to do.
Historic buildings, seaside, country walks, the choices are there for you to make.
