We own and operate several heritage sites of national and international importance as well as running a dedicated award winning Museum. We have many roles to play in securing the long term future of this Canal. Part of our work is to promote the use of the Canal, part of our work is to protect it from the wrong sorts of development as well as promoting the right sorts of development. Much of our work involves displaying the Canal in use to the Public, all of this takes a large resource in terms of money and of volunteers time and effort not to mention that of our paid staff too!
