Arley Arboretum & Gardens

Upper Arley near Bewdley

Arley Arboretum & Gardens

Arley Arboretum is one of the oldest Arboretums in Great Britain. Tucked away in the beautiful countryside of the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders near Bewdley, it boasts more than 300 species of trees in formal and informal plantings and gardens. The collection includes many rare and spectacular domestic and exotic trees. Nestling in the Severn Valley and overlooking the river, it has been growing and maturing in this idyllic setting for two centuries.

Autumn is a wonderful time of year in the arboretum. The leaves turn a kaleidoscope of colours, and cover the ground with a rich and exotic carpet. Whilst the residents hurriedly prepare for the onset of winter, visitors can enjoy the spectacle of the acers in their autumn glory, and the fine display provided throughout the arboretum by the native and exotic species.

Autumn is a spectacular time of year to visit the arboretum!
