A Journey of Extremes Awaits! An inspiring day out for the whole family. Multi-award winning museum recreating Grimsby's maritime history, the Fishing Heritage Centre tells the story of local fishermen, their boats and the waters they fished in. The dangers and hardships of life at sea are explained and there are realistic reconstructions of back streets and alleys of the heyday of 1950s Grimsby. The Ross Tiger Trawler Tour includes a recreation of a 1950s voyage to fishing grounds, through the ship, with authentic aromas and moving deck. Two minutes walk from Grimsby town centre, the centre is situated next to the Alexandra Dock, close to Sainsbury's supermarket, and is clearly sign-posted from all major routes
